Simmons Law Firm expands in California

Alton, Ill., law firm Simmons Browder Gianaris Angelides & Barnerd LLC said it has expanded its California presence with the opening of an office in the San Francisco Bay area.
The office will be staffed by two attorneys.
In 2008, the 55-lawyer firm opened its first California office in Los Angeles County. Additional offices are located in Chicago and St. Louis.
Simmons specializes in asbestos law, class actions, commercial litigation and intellectual property infringement.
The firm also represents a number of California homeowners along with co-counsel in a lawsuit against several West Coast homebuilders. The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco recently ruled the firm’s clients had standing to sue housing developers for allegedly allowing high-risk buyers to purchase homes, causing property values to plummet when the housing market crashed.
